As much as I love trends I sometimes really, really don't. Consider this: you are scoping the mall for the latest and the "innest" look on the market and have become quite enamored with a certain dress after hours of combing through the "new arrival" section. You decide to finally make the purchase after careful deliberation, only to see three other girls on the way home with same exact dress. Now you're broke and even if you look great, so does everyone else. Perhaps this scenario wouldn't bother some people, but it is absolutely one of my biggest pet peeves when generic, uninventive stores carry copy-cat fashions and people end up having the same clothes.
Don't get me wrong, I think this dress looks great! It's simple and it gives off that classic, ballerina vibe, but I swear I saw five different girls wearing this style of dress today going to and coming home from school, in different color combinations. To think I almost bought it off Modclothe.com a while ago, today would would've been simply be too tragic seeing my dress on everyone else.
Speaking of dresses, I saw "500 Days of Summer" and was absolutely swoon by Zooey Deschanel's beauty and her heart-warmingly tasteful frocks. I'm totally mesmerized by her style and have been inspired to wear dresses more often.

Loveless
I have been getting really bored of dressing up lately and been wanting to do something drastic. I thought about going back to the very basics with just shorts and t-shirts but got bored even more quickly. After completely ransacking my closet, here's the best I can come up with...
Here's a 50's inspired look. I have on a polka dot one-piece jumper and a laced cardigan, both thrifted and awesome!
My grunge revival attempt...with a cowboy twist.
Lately I've been super low on funds and been stressed the fucked out about school so I kind of put fashion on the back burner. I have however been reinventing some of my old pieces into new and different outfit components.
